1. GENERAL
TVH Equipment wishes to inform the visitor of the website, through this policy, about the policy we pursue regarding cookies. We advise the visitor to read the policy carefully, as this document contains essential information regarding the use of cookies.
This cookie policy applies to www.tvhequipment.com (hereinafter the 'Website') managed by TVH Equipment, with registered office at Mannebeekstraat 4, 8790 Waregem, RPR Ghent – Kortrijk division with VAT number: BE0414.262.650. (hereinafter ‘TVH Equipment’, 'we' or 'us').
When this Cookie Policy refers to certain regulations, this includes any amendment, replacement or annulment thereof, as well as any implementing measures relating thereto.
We reserve the right to amend the cookie policy at any time.
For any questions about how we obtain, store and use personal information, please consult our privacy policy. For any questions about our use of cookies, please contact us via privacy@tvhequipment.com.
2. WHAT ARE COOKIES?
A cookie is a small text file that, when visiting the website, stores information from this website on your computer or your mobile device. This allows the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display options) for a certain period of time. This gives you the advantage that when you revisit the website or browse between different web pages, your preferences do not have to be reset each time.
Cookies are set by our web server and the web servers of third parties that we use on our website; and can be read, updated or deleted by these same servers each time you visit our website, depending on the type of cookie. A web server has no memory, so the website you visit places a cookie file from the browser on the hard drive of your computer or mobile device.
Cookies that relate only to a single session (a single visit to our website) are automatically deleted when you close your web browser - these are generally considered necessary to be able to offer the website to you.
The cookies never function independently of the website and in no way gain access to data located on your computer or mobile device.
Some cookies may affect your fundamental rights to privacy and data protection and therefore require your consent to be accessed or stored on your device. This consent can be given by explicitly ticking (pop-up bar) the relevant cookie categories.
3. WHAT INFORMATION DOES A COOKIE STORE?
A cookie usually contains a text string with information about the browser. To work, a cookie does not need to know where you come from, it only needs to remember your browser.
Some websites use cookies to store more personal information about you. However, this can only be done if you yourself have provided that personal information to the website. Legitimate websites will encrypt this personal information stored in the cookie to prevent another party with access to your cookie folder from using this information unlawfully.
Cookies have six parameters that can be passed to them:
The name of the cookie.
The value of the cookie.
The expiry date of the cookie - this determines how long the cookie will remain active in your browser.
The path for which the cookie is valid - this determines the URL path in which the cookie is valid. Web pages outside that path cannot use the cookie.
The domain for which the cookie is valid. This makes the cookie accessible to pages on any of the servers when a site uses multiple servers in a domain.
The need for a secure connection - this indicates that the cookie can only be used under a secure server condition, such as a site using SSL.
4. WHAT ARE THE PURPOSES OF OUR COOKIES?
Cookies on our website are used for various purposes, but in general, their use is divided into the following categories:
Strictly necessary cookies (Always active): These cookies are necessary for the functioning of the website and cannot be disabled in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions taken by you that amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling out forms. You can set your browser to block these cookies or to warn you about them, but some parts of the site will then not work. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information.
Functional cookies (Consent required): These cookies enable the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalisation. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages. If you do not allow these cookies, some or all of these services may not function properly.
Statistical cookies (Consent required): These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies, we will not know when you have visited our site, and will not be able to monitor its performance.
Marketing cookies (Consent required): These cookies may be set through our site by our advertising partners. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. They do not store directly personal information, but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.
5. HOW CAN YOU MANAGE COOKIES?
The visitor has control over the cookies themselves. He or she can adjust the settings of his or her web browser according to personal preferences. The visitor can at any time delete the cookies already installed, as well as refuse new cookies by adjusting his or her browser settings.
The cookies that are placed on the user's computer depend on the user's choice in the cookie selection screen. These choices can also be adjusted later via the button at the bottom left of the site.
Each web browser has its own settings. Usually, you can change the cookie settings via the “preferences” or “settings” menus that can be clicked on at the top right, in addition, you can also consult the “help” menu.
More information about this can be found via the links below:
After deleting the cookies in the browser you use, you can at any time withdraw your consent for the use of certain categories of cookies. This can be done by clicking on cookie management at the bottom of this web page.

8. CAN OUR COOKIE POLICY CHANGE?
This cookie policy may be amended if our services or the applicable legislation so require. This means that we are constantly looking for better service tailored to your needs. It is possible that new applications will emerge where we will collect or want to use your data in a different way. Of course, we will let you know when there are important changes, and we will ask for your consent if necessary.
