Cladding BV, specialist in industrial roofing and cladding.
"For nearly every assignment, the company relies on the aerial work platforms it rents from TVH Equipment."
Cladding BV from Peer is currently providing protective polycarbonate cladding for the historic facades of the renovated coal mine site be-MINE in Beringen. Just like with almost every project, the company relies on the aerial work platforms it rents from TVH Equipment.
Cladding BV specializes in industrial roofing and cladding. "Our clients range from small SMEs and large construction companies to multinationals and municipalities," says director Olaf Schrooten. "Our sites vary greatly in terms of duration, size, and height. That's why we chose from the outset not to invest in our own aerial work platforms. It's much more interesting for us to rent machines. This way, we can always adapt to the specific conditions on the site. TVH Equipment has been our fixed and reliable rental partner for at least 15 to 20 years. Why? With their wide range of high-tech machines, they are simply the best option for us."
A tailored solution for every need
The assignment at be-MINE in Beringen - Europe's best-preserved mining site and the largest industrial heritage site in Flanders - is certainly not insignificant. "On behalf of construction company THV Mijnbouw, we are installing nearly 4000 m² of polycarbonate cladding," continues Olaf. "It's a very strong and durable, yet transparent material. This way, the historic facades are professionally protected against the elements and the ravages of time, while still keeping the existing structure visible."
At be-MINE, Cladding BV currently rents three machines from TVH Equipment: a JLG scissor lift, a high scissor lift from the Special Equipment range, and a JLG telescopic boom lift. "We made that selection ourselves," says Olaf Schrooten. "Both myself and our site manager Erik Neyens have over 25 years of experience in this field. So we know perfectly well which machines will allow us to work safely and with the greatest possible efficiency. If we're undecided between several types, we contact Robby De Pauw, the Rental Representative for TVH Equipment in our region. He obviously knows the rental range even better than we do. This way, we always receive the right advice."
Convenient ordering via the app
In general, Olaf Schrooten manages the orders himself. And nowadays, it's easier than ever: "Before, I had to send a fax when I needed a machine. Then an email. Now I use the very handy app. If I'm on a site and see that we still lack a certain machine? Via the app on my smartphone, I have online access to the entire rental range and can even check a clear technical datasheet of each device. Then I just need to indicate where and when I expect the machine. If a machine is not available for some reason, TVH Equipment immediately proposes a valid alternative. In the same convenient way, I can also disable the machine after the end of the site."
Additionally, Olaf Schrooten sees more reasons why it's so pleasant to work together: "Some machines stay with us for months. Inevitably, a defect occurs from time to time. After a phone call to TVH Equipment's technical service, our technicians can solve the problem themselves in at least half of the cases. If there's a more serious issue, our rental partner sends a technician as soon as possible. And if necessary, we receive a replacement machine. This way, our timing is not compromised. Yes, TVH Equipment really actively thinks along with us and always does everything to help us."
This is a truly great collaboration! Yes, indeed! If you can find a partner who can provide a perfect, flexible, and direct service background and customer support, then it's a grateful relationship that can last for decades! It's good to see that there are also stable business relationships in the aerial lift market, because in the long run, these have a positive impact on smaller companies that rent aerial work platforms or scissor lifts, because they also want similar and stable collaborations. The article also points out that the rental price of an aerial work platform does not represent the essence of the entire service, because a functioning, developing and potential working relationship and infrastructure are needed. And human factors are also important in addition to prices, so I think this goes beyond even business interests!
Thanks for sharing some important note with us. I have been looking for this type article for last 3 months, now I hope I can do it!!!
